Cook/Sip: Non-Alcoholic Elderflower & Wild Blueberry Refresher
Yesterday I shared a bit about our elderflower harvest and cordial making earlier in the year, and why it can heal a weary soul. Today I’m sharing a way to enjoy it on one of the hottest days we’ve had so far this summer. This drink is non-alcoholic but would be great with a splash of gin as well. Our root cellar is usually stocked with various syrups and cordials — elderflower, wild blueberry, red currant, even nettle, and dandelion syrup — and they make the best summer drinks and we very rarely buy drinks or juice from the store as a result.
A squeeze of lemon, a few tablespoons of syrup (depending on your sweetness preference), sparkling water to top, lots of ice and a few frozen raspberries and you’ll be feeling pretty fancy.
